What maintenance does the Vybra tower need?
Surface cleaning - Wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth;
If especially dirty, dilute with a mild detergent and wipe with a soft cloth. Then wipe with a dry soft cloth.
Air inlet/outlet - Use a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner to clean the dust at the air inlet and outlet. Please clean it when there is less dust. Too much dust is not healthy and will reduce fan efficiency.
Remote control - Gently wipe the surface of the remote with a soft, dry cloth.
If the remote control is not going to be used for a long period of time, please remove the battery from the remote control..
Does this device actively cool. Like an aircon? Or is the cooling basically a fan?
Yes, it actively cools like aircon, it can blow out cold air when its hot, or hot air when its cold. Not as noisy as a fan.
How do I enable the air purifier option?
The 3-in-1 Vybra Tower uses a UVC Air Ioniser internally, which sterilises all air coming through killing bacteria, germs & viruses. There is not an air purifier option as such, as it sterilises air as it is going through.
How does it sterilise the air?
With UVC Air Ioniser, which use high voltage to give an electrical charge (usually negative) to either particles that move through the ioniser, or to molecules in the air. These charged molecules are called ions, and the ions will then stick to particles. In either case, the end result is particles with an electrical charge.
Charged particles are attracted to particles or surfaces with the opposite charge. This causes the particles to clump together, forming larger, heavier particles that settle out of the air onto nearby surfaces. Alternatively, particles can be attracted to, and stuck to, charged surfaces like carpet or curtains that have gained a positive charge through static electricity.
