Stadler Form ROGER BIG Air Purifier (spaces up to 104m2)

Air purifier Roger big provides clean air in conference rooms, open-plan offices and large spaces of up to 104m2. With his two sensors, the mobile room air purifier continuously measures the quality of the air and immediately detects pollutants such as unpleasant smells, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), pollen, fine dust, viruses and bacteria*.

Roger big removes 99.9%** of all coronaviruses (SARS-CoV-2) from the air in an hour. If the air quality deteriorates, the air quality indicator lets you know by changing colour. If the intelligent auto mode is also activated, Roger big’s cleaning performance will be adjusted automatically. The more polluted the air, the higher his chosen level of performance will be.

The well-designed air purifier also has two washable, textile pre-filters – as well as an integrated Sanitized® hygiene function.

At the heart of the air purifier are two Dual Filters™ which are a combination of a HEPA filter and an activated carbon filter. The highly efficient H12 HEPA filter removes pollutants such as fine dust, allergens, pollen, viruses and bacteria from the air while the activated carbon filter adsorbs gases.

Besides a timer function, night mode and wheels for easy transportation which enable him to be moved around, Roger big’s impressive features also include WiFi: you can monitor the air quality and control all his functions via an app so that clean and healthy room air is always guaranteed!

Filtering of viruses

Test results show that air purifier Roger big from Stadler Form can remove 99.9% of living SARS-CoV-2 viruses** which cause COVID-19 from the air. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), “when used correctly, air purifiers can help reduce pollutants in the air in residential buildings or enclosed spaces, including viruses.”*** An air purifier like Roger big can help reduce the risk of viral infections and thus provide his family and anyone else in the house with the best possible protection against becoming infected with the coronavirus. An additional test confirmed: air purifier Roger big efficiently filters 99.9% of all influenza A viruses**** and aerosols from the air in 60 minutes (tested in a 28 m3 test chamber).

CADR 736 m3/h

The CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) indicates the volume of purified air that the air purifier can produce. Our value was determined by means of independent laboratory tests based on the AHAM standard. Higher CADR values mean that the air purifier can be recommended for larger spaces. The CADR is measured in cubic metres of air per hour. Air purifier Roger big is suitable for rooms of up to 104 m2 and changes the air 3 times per hour. For heavily contaminated room air and for allergy sufferers, Roger big is recommended for rooms of up to 62 m2 – with an air change rate of 5 times per hour.

Polluted indoor air

The air indoors is 2–5 times more polluted than the air outside. We spend approx. 90% of our time indoors and are constantly exposed to this pollution. Typical impurities are volatile organic compounds (e.g. formaldehyde), fine and suspended dust, unpleasant odours as well as viruses and bacteria. Allergy sufferers are also troubled by pollen and the excrement of dust mites. Optimally purified air leads to a great sense of wellbeing, improved vitality, and fewer illnesses. Roger, Roger little and Roger big provide the perfect help to free the air of pollutants.

Air quality indicator

Roger shows the quality of the room air. He continuously measures the quality of the air with his sensors. The air quality indicator lets you know if air quality deteriorates by changing its colour (blue = good, orange = medium, red = poor).

Pre-filter

The textile pre-filter removes coarse dust particles and pollutants from the air. By doing this, it protects the Dual Filter™ and prolongs its service life. The integrated Sanitized®**** hygiene function protects the preliminary filter against microbial growth. The textile pre-filter can be washed at 30 °C on a cold wash delicate cycle. The antimicrobial protection is guaranteed for at least 20 washes. Based on normal use, we recommend washing the pre-filter every 3 months while allergy sufferers are recommended to wash it once a month.

Dual Filter™ technology

The Dual Filter™ is the heart of the air purifier. It is a combination of a HEPA filter (H12) and an activated carbon filter. The HEPA filter removes pollutants out of the air, such as fine dust, pollen, viruses and bacteria. Particularly suitable for allergy sufferers – Roger big bears the ECARF quality seal. The activated carbon filter adsorbs gases present in the air (bad odours, tobacco smoke, formaldehyde, toluene, volatile organic compounds, etc.) and filters them out of the air.

Filter exchange

The capacity of the two Dual Filter™ is limited, which means that it must be replaced every 8–12 months, depending on its exposure to air and gases. Thanks to the intelligent filter timer, Roger big shows exactly when the filter needs to be replaced.

Filtering of particles

Roger big’s Dual Filter™ produced convincing results during the TÜV test (particle cleaning test). Roger big filters 100% of 0.255-micrometre particles (tested based on DIN standard 71460-1:2006). For comparison: a human hair is 80 micrometers thick. So, the filtered particles are 313 times smaller.

Device control via an app (Wi-Fi)

Roger big is equipped with Wi-Fi and can be controlled via the smartphone app «Smart Life – Smart Living». The air quality can be monitored and controlled via the app which enables all Roger big’s functions to be controlled in real time. An additional child protection function which is only available via the app deactivates the buttons on the device for a chosen period of time.

**The reduction of the viruses was proven in the independent laboratory of Airmid in the UK. The air purifiers were tested for a period of 60 minutes in a test chamber with a volume of 28.5 m3. The MS2 virus used in the test is an RNA virus like the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Because of its aerosol properties similar to those of human viruses, its viability and its resistance to disinfection, the MS2 virus is often used in air purifier tests as a substitute for viruses with similar dimensions. With a diameter of approximately 25 nm, the MS2 virus is more than 4 times smaller than the SARS-CoV-2 virus which has a diameter of 120 nm. As proof was provided of the reduction of the smaller MS2 viruses, it can be concluded that the larger SARS-CoV-2 viruses would also be reduced at least to the same extent.
